Reb Gedaliah is a teacher
Rabbi Fleer was born in New York and studied for Rabbinic ordination at the Navordoc Yeshiva in Brooklyn. He also studied at Mier Yeshiva and TorahV’Daath. He received smicha (rabbinic ordination) at Yeshivat Breslov in Jerusalem.
Rabbi Fleer is a noted Kabbalist, teacher and storyteller. He is acknowledged by the Encyclopedia Judaica as one of today’s leading authorities on Jewish mysticism. He is also a renowned exponent of the teachings of the Hasidic master, Rebbe Nachman of Breslov, the great grandson of the Baal Shem Tov. He courageously opened the door to Rebbi Nachman’s grave in Uman amidst the intense religious oppression of the Soviet Union. (See “Against All Odds”).

Rabbi Fleer is an original and innovative thinker. Each of his lectures is a composition, a unique synthesis of his broad knowledge of Torah, Chassidut, Philosophy, Kabbalah and storytelling. From his lectures one learns the immediate subject, but the experience is enriched with themes from Kabbalah and the Talmud along with his own personal and mesmerizing insights. His teaching is profound and practical at the same time.
